Most 'Muslim marriage apps' are dating apps with a different logo: swipe, chat, hope. Elarove is built around how a nikah actually comes together. Every man uploads a government ID that a real person checks before he can see anyone. A woman's photo and full name stay private until she sends an interest or accepts one, so her family can keep the process as modest as they wish. Parents, brothers and sisters can create and run a profile on a candidate's behalf, and a family contact number is recorded so the matchmaker always speaks to the family.
Profiles record sect and community (Sunni, Shia, Ahl-e-Hadith, Deobandi, Barelvi, Ismaili, Bohra and others), plus mother tongue, caste or biradari, education, profession, marital status and the country the family lives in, and search filters on all of them. There is no public feed, no algorithm pushing profiles at you and nothing to swipe. When a proposal looks right, the matchmaker can speak to both families before anyone meets.
Questions families ask
Is Elarove only for Muslims?
No. It is open to everyone, and profiles record religion so each family searches within its own faith. Most members today are Muslim, and the process is designed to suit a family-led nikah.
Can we keep the process mahram-friendly?
Yes. A woman's photo is never shown to a man until she or her family chooses; a parent or brother can run the profile and handle messages; the matchmaker speaks to families, not just candidates; and a first meeting can be arranged with both families present.
Do you check marital status?
Every member confirms they are free to marry when they join, and members can upload a marital-status document (FRC, divorce decree or death certificate) that staff verify by hand for a 'Status verified' badge. We are honest that no site can prove a stranger is unmarried beyond that. Ask directly and involve your family early.
